NOUN
1.
making of amends: the making of reparation for a sin or a mistake
2.
reconciliation between God and people: in Christian belief, the reconciliation between God and people brought about by the death of Jesus Christ
-Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
-for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
-God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[i] through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith.
-He did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus
...These are bits and pieces from Romans 3.
I believe that the greatest and most powerful of ways to be changed is, simply, by the truth.

Ya ever realize you've been believing one thing and you weren't even fully conscious that you've been basing your life off of this belief, that is actually not the truth. It's false. Fiction. And for years, maybe, you live like its the real deal. You don't even talk about it with other people...It's sort of just tucked away in the back of your conscience, dictating your emotions, behavior and outlook on life. I have.
Right after the above verse it says this:
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
I believe God desires to shed light all over my hidden and untrue beliefs. Why? To expose them and correct them. So that I might live in the light, in His freeing grace.
Much of the time, I live as though my right standing with God is through my actions. Anyone tracking with me?
It's not. It is not my job to justify myself through my life. That is why Jesus came to earth. To justify. All he wants is my faith. My being sure of what I hope and certain of what I do not see. He wants my belief in Him.
Having the right "outlook," is knowing truth.
The truth will set us free.
I want to live free.
Grace
